Ensuring Trust in the Digital Economy

As the world increasingly relies on interconnected digital systems, the vulnerability of critical infrastructure to cyber threats has become a pressing concern. Traditional cryptographic methods, while effective for securing communications today, are at risk of being compromised by the advent of quantum computing. Quantum-safe networks, which incorporate cryptographic techniques and key distribution methods resistant to quantum algorithms, offer a promising solution to ensuring the long-term security and resilience of critical infrastructure. By assessing current developments in quantum-safe cryptography and its practical implementation, we provide a roadmap for achieving robust protection and resilience in the face of evolving cyber threats, ensuring the secure functioning of critical infrastructure in the quantum era.
